As I stepped out into the cool crisp morning air, I had two things on my mind: a quick jog around the block and a cure for the nagging pain along my shins.
My shins always hurt after about five to ten minutes of walking or running. I know most of the problem stems from lack of training, or training too vigorously. So I decided to see what the experts had to say.

I finally found the “magical exercise” to
end the pain of shin splints forever!
If you think that sounds too good to be true, you are not alone. I’m a bit skeptical myself, but I’m willing to give it a try, anyway.
My initial search landed over 2 million hits. First, I check out what Webmd had to say. Next, I read an article over at Fitness Magazine. They both seemed to offer solid advice, but out of curiosity, I wanted to read a little more.
Then I found it. The magic bullet of shin exercises. This article promises to “banish shin splints forever with one magical exercise.” (Be sure to click the picture with all the legs; it’s a video of the exercise.) It looks too simple to work, so of course I’ve got to try it out, to prove them wrong. Join me and tell me how it works for you. I’ll keep you posted on my progress as well.
Oh, and I had to interrupt my walk to let the Goose Family cross the road… those geese can get really nasty if they don’t get their way. LOL

The Goose family… where’s the crossing guard when you need her?
