Happy New Year! It’s time to look back at the year that was 2013.

JANUARY

The beginning of a new tradition! In January, I completed my very first 5k. My younger daughter was along for the fun. Looking forward to making this an annual event. 

FEBRUARY AND MARCH

February and March are a blur, can’t really remember anything except for work and sleep. There were birthdays of family and friends, but apparently no pictures were taken. This year, the goal is to document every day with at least one picture.

APRIL

2nd 5k with Brandy. Lots of fun, but one and done with The Color Run.

MAY

We celebrate life while mourning the passing of our beloved Aunt Sue.

JUNE

A lovely ballerina after her first recital.

JULY

Life is moving in fast motion. Birthday wishes for the youngest family member, yet mourning the loss of Vicki Busby Cason, mother of Steven and Robyn; sister to Janice, Elaine, Paul, and Mark, and my friend.

RIP Vicki.

AUGUST

Race #3: Georgia Parks Trail Series, by Dirty Spokes Trail Racing. This is taking hiking to a new level.

SEPTEMBER

Miracles do happen; 4th race of the year, 2nd place finish in 50-54 age group. Unicoi State Park Trail Run, with Dirty Spokes Racing.

OCTOBER

Busy month: Georgia National Fair with GRANDS and another 5k. This one at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, GA

NOVERMBER

Finishing The Run for Your Lungs 5k in Cordele, GA. Personal Record 40:24. LOVE THIS MID LIFE CRISIS!

DECEMBER

Final race of 2013, Victoria Bryant State Park in Royston, GA, and a trip to Toccoa Falls. Read about the history of Toccoa Falls Christian College below:
